At CrepTalk we value and celebrate the emergence and growth of sneaker culture, constantly keeping you guys in the mix with the latest releases, and providing you guys with knowledge on your favourite sneakers and brands.


Whilst we love shedding light on mainstream brands such as Nike, Jordan, and Adidas, it's only right that we put you guys on game with brands which fly under the radar, or brands which are considered underrated within sneaker culture.


In this new segment of CrepTalk we dive in on upcoming brands which are considered under the radar from the mainstream. Welcome to the new segment: Under the Radar.


In the first addition of this column, we talk about the Swedish brand that's been flying low, but quietly making noise for a while, take a good look at Axel Arigato.


Axel Arigato



Axel Arigato is a Swedish sneaker and streetwear powerhouse, quietly revolutionising the luxury fashion market with its community driven model.


Founded in 2014 by Swedish natives Max Svardh & Albin Johansson.

The brand was born out of passion and desire, at the heart of combining product design and creation.


Axel Arigato takes a different approach as opposed to many other mainstream brands.

As Creative Director Max Svardh says " We couldn't find a brand that we truly could identify with".

Axel Arigato aims to create a brand for the next generation, and at the same time do the things differently in comparison to other brands currently on the market. Talking directly to customers, building a community and selling their products directly through their own website.

When looking at Axel Arigato, there seems to be a wide variety of designs, offering an extensive range of sneakers, from retro inspired styles like its retro silhouettes such as the Genesis and Aeon, to minimalist styles such as the Clean 90 or the more modern chunky-soled Orbit.


In more recent years, the brand has also become a go to for contemporary, streetwear-inspired clothing and accessories such as oversized hoodies, logo tees, and high-tech puffer jackets.


Weekly drops

Axel Arigato launched with the main objective of embracing the now and always looking for the tomorrow. Known for its traditional seasonal calendar, and through its unique system of 'weekly drops'.


Axel Arigato uses an innovative drop schedule to release one new style each week. Which in turn helps the brand achieve a healthier inventory and contributes to more conscious buying. With the "Drop of the week" format, Axel Arigato places customers in the spotlight for product creation and using customer feedback to develop new styles.


Axel Arigato seems to be a brand that's finally getting its flowers. Though still under the radar in terms of relative attention, real ones will appreciate the brands unique designs. Along with their exceptional customer services and attention to detail in regards to their target market.


Axel Arigato is a brand which I recommend keeping a close eye on, they do everything right, from their designs, to how sustainable their products are.


A real underrated gem in the sneaker game.
