Top Ten Sneaker Collaborations of 2021

This was a tough one....

2021 was a great year for sneaker collaborations as brands came together to make their mark in sneaker history, and 2021 did not disappoint one single bit.

In this issue of CrepTalk we look at the top ten most hyped and successful collaborations of 2021.

This list wasn't easy at all, but it was well thought out and looked at numerous times, this was based off my personal opinion, so don't be waiting for me to come outside.

Without further due lets get down to it.

10 Jordan 1 x A Ma Maniere

The A Ma Maniere Jordan 1s definitely earnt its spot on my list as it turned many heads with its simplistic yet luxurious design, originally leaked in early July 2021, many thought that we wouldn't be able to see another coveted collaboration with Nike and the menswear brand A Ma Maniere in the same year, but we was fortunately wrong. This instant classic comes with a plethora of small details, as the ankle flaps are printed with "Learning's a gift, even when pain's your teacher" complete with Michael Jordan's signature just below it.

This sneaker was definitely a must cop regardless of which brand you love as the leather from heel to toe was decked with premium quality.

9.Nike Dunk x Parra

Ever since the Nike Dunk was brought back from the dead, its popularity boomed like never before, rightfully so, as with a classical sneaker like this you cant go wrong. with popularity comes collaboration, as Nike teamed up with famous Dutch illustrator and painter, Piet Parra, arranging the SB Dunk in wild mismatching colours which come together perfectly. A collaboration so different that makes it perfect. The sneaker itself didn't take it lightly on the materials as materials come primarily decked with a rich plush leather upper, and the colourful panels come with a high quality synthetic upper.

The Nike Dunk Parra's released on July 29th 2021 and currently goes for £424 in a size UK 10 on Stockx.

8.Union x Jordan 4 Taupe

The Jordan 4 is no stranger to high profile collaborations, as the Jordan 4 has had numerous collaborations. One of which is the arrival of the Air Jordan 4 x Union 30th Anniversary Taupe Haze, which is said to be influenced by the early 90s when outdoor wear and tan colour pallets became a strong trend in streetwear. The Taupe Haze colourway sees a blend of breathable mesh and suede. Personally the Jordan 4 is one of my favourite sneakers of all time, so for me I need to add this to my collection.

7.Sacai Waffle Nike (Sacai x Nike x Fragment)

The Nike Waffle was a triple collaboration between Nike x Sacai x Fragment, previously released in the past, the Sacai x Fragment x silhouette has become a highly coveted collaboration in sneaker history. This specific colourway is decked out with soft suede mesh along with a double stacked sacai waffle sole with a high end Nike cushioning, to ensure maximum comfort, this shoe is definitely a must have, even looking at it I can just tell this is too comfortable, which suits my motto "Comfort is King"

6.Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 550

In 2020 the New Balance x Aime Leon Dore blessed us with a collab that many in the sneaker community cherished. In summer 2021 the sneaker community was blessed again with another edition of the Aime Leon Dore x New Balance dynamic duo, which featured colourways with deep green, navy blue and deep red. I made a post about this specific shoe saying that New Balance is on the come up and, and I did not lie, New Balance stay bringing gems like this. A must cop if you're looking for something different from the Jordan and Adidas Yeezy line. It gives me a good nostalgic vibe, and the quality just looks immaculate, I personally prefer these over some AF1 but that's just my personal opinion

5. Travis Scott x Jordan x Fragment (High and Low top)

Till this day the Air Jordan 1 is still arguably one of the best sneaker silhouettes of all time. The Air Jordan 1 has become so popular it has now become a signature canvas for collaborators as a three way collaborations between Travis Scott, Hiroshi Fujiera Fragment Design and Jordan Brand teamed up to make this masterpiece design in which many sneakerheads around the world could wait to get their hands on, which wasn't many thanks to bots and resellers.

To be honest I knew this wouldn't land on me for retail price but I still had to give it a try, to those that got it for retail, congrats, luck was most definitely on your side.

The triple branded Jordan 1 had a top of the range tumbled leather from heel to toe and was a highly sought after, so popular that for resell the lowest price you could find them would be for at least £1000. Now I don't know about you but better off copping some black air forces and hope you run into someone wearing these.

That's part 1 of the top ten collabs of 2021, I cant lie even on this part of the list was difficult to decide which one goes to which spot.

Comment down below what was your list, or what was your favourite collab that you want to see mentioned.
